  • Next fellowship event will be Wednesday night, Oct 24, Wednesday night, dinner at Table restaurant (pay your own way) and then see The Nitty Gritty 
  • Dirt Band at MBT, ($45/ticket). Please see Donna if interested! 
  • Grape & Gourmet will be Sunday night Nov. 4th. Tickets on sale; each member responsible for selling (or donating to club) $300. Initially only 4 VIP tix per member. 30 to 35 wineries expected to show. Please sign up for volunteer duties. Tonja needs auction items. 
  • Bill Geyer, chairman of membership committee, went through a brief review / revision of the application form. Please committee will also develope a strategic plan: please tell us which industries or professions or people that are lacking and needed in the club; this will help us target people for membership.

  • Brent Walker with a plug for an exhibit at Whatcom Museum that Stowe Talbot sponsored and curated, with photographs from Nakhodka and about the Soviet-American joint venture fishing company (1976-2001) founded by his father;

  • Gordon Plume 34 year wedding anniversary;

Program
Bob Moles introduced Shari Storm, who grew up in Kennewick, has an MBA from Seattle University, lives and works in Seattle, and is a member Emerald City Rotarty Club in Seattle. Her first book was published in 1998. Shari has been featured in the media, including Time, Redbook, King 5, Business Week, etc. She has presented to many rotary clubs. Shari said she works at a Credit Union. When she became a parent nine years ago, she found that she actually got better at her job. Her book is called “Motherhood is the New MBA: Using Your Parenting Skills to Be a Better Boss”.

Chapter One: Remember that getting dressed can take all morning. (Managing people is difficult during times of change). To make it easier, remember the following: you are further along in the proces; you have more control over events; You can see the big picture more readily.

Chapter Twelve: Theres no such thing as a family secret.
