Visiting Rotarians: Alan Stockbridge (former member), Kris Palmerton (Sunrise)

Guests: Jessie (Barry's daughter), Kendell Pinkerel (Bellwether), Riannon Bardsley (NWYS), Margarita Vartanyan.

Membership Induction: Bob Moles introduced Margarita Vartanya. Winemaking is in her family history.  Although her family is Armerian, she was born in Siberia when Stalin sent the family away.  They returned to Armenia where they again  UCLA degree in winemaking.  Established Vartanyan Estate Winery off Mount Baker highway.  Bill Gorman explained the commitments of Rotary to Margarita, handed out the materials and did the official honors.  Welcome to the club, Margarita!

Announcements:

Steve Kimberly invited Riannon Bardsley to speak a little about Northwest Youth Services.  NWYS is a housing and vocational services program for homeless youth, at-risk teens (ages 13-25).  Their new Pad Project is almost completed (waiting only for the license, but open for drop-in use).  Our club helped sponsor the Pad Project: It is a temporary living shelter with 16 beds, kitchen, laundry, shower, etc.  Riannon thanked our club for our financial contribution.

Stan reported that Art Renestrandt is convalescing, so a get-well-soon card was passed around.
