John Sleeth said the RYLA deadline is extended until mid March.  Let John if you have a nominee/attendee.  Nick Caples attended RYLA when he was in college and had a wonderful experience; he will gladly share his experience with any potential candidate.
 
Terry Brown’s community projects committee will meet after lunch next Tuesday.
 
Short Program by Curtis Dye who attended last week’s District 5050 “Membership Seminar” here in Bellingham.  It was on the importance of social media on engaging with Rotary membership:  Marketing to new members, marketing outreach, PR. Jill Reid also attended and subsequently agreed to chair our social media presence.

  • Tim Krell had fun dancing last Friday, then attended his daughter’s dance performance team in LaConner, and then a Sunday Canucks game!
  • Debbie Kiene for missed meetings, a birthday, visit to Palm Springs where she saw Bob Becker, and a thanks to Bourbon Street Bingeaux success (a B&G Clubs fundraiser);
  • Marilyn Olsen missed meetings last month while in India studying textile design, fantastic experience;
  • Kendall Olson’s father re-joined Rotary at the University Sunrise Rotary Club, Kendall herself attended the UW Rotaract club there and got inspired with their work, also she celebrated one-year anniversary with her company, and she has found two new members for our proposed new Rotaract Club;
  • Phil X Hageman moment of silence for his former table, now empty;
  • Tonja Myers’ son was honored by the Monday Rotary club last week;

Today, Dannon presented seniors from BHS, who performed songs and scenes from The Music Man.  The full show will take place at BHS auditorium on March 6, 7, 13, 14 at 7pm, plus matinee performances on March 8 and 15 at 2pm. LINK HERE
