  • Lesa Boxx – Missed meetings. Trip to Chicago. Twisted ankle. Has a birthday.
  • Scot Swanson – Good soccer weekend.
  • Tim Krell – Good skiing.
  • Mimi Ferlin - Happy bucks for husband being nominated for business person of the year.
  • Phil Hageman – Booth at home show.
  • Terry Brown – Wife is teacher of the year at Bellingham HS.
  • Mary Humphries – Grandparent again but with a granddaughter this time.
  • Dick Stark – Yakima state b-ball tourney.
  • Patti Imhof – Hospital recognition/awards – healing through the arts, 20% below state average in price, low length of stay, top 100 hospital in nation, chefs won tasting award for catering etc.
  • Mike Hammes – Missed meetings. Hospice house has 100th patient.

Overview and pictures/video of Bucks for Banos project in Copan Honduras:

  • Teacher's there contributed $1,000 into the project.
  • Upgraded sinks which were not part of the original project.
  • Initially planned for 9 stalls each for boy and girls. Redesign to 10 stalls for boys including urinals and 20 stalls for girls. Separate facility for teachers as well.
  • Hired contractor for the "heavy lifting" of project.
  • Mostly tiled.
  • Hygiene and cleanliness were the priority.
  • School is called Juan Ramon Cueva school. 1000 kids attend school – 1st through 6th grade.
  • Pictures/video of one of the families there and their living conditions.
  • Visited the Copan Rotary.
  • Project was a success and had a ribbon cutting ceremony.
  • A plaque is displayed honoring our club, Whatcom North and Sedro Woolley club.
  • Had some good food and time for some recreation. Visiting a nice bird park. Play area.
  • The bathrooms will also help kids and specifically girls remain in school and hopefully they will be able to give back one day to their community or another community as well.
