SAVE THE DATE: Our club’s annual “Changing of the Guard” ceremony and induction of new club officers will take place Monday June 26th at the VFW.
 
Steve with reminder the annual BBRC International Committee fundraiser dinner at Ciao Thyme will be Thursday night, June 1st, cost $190/person, half of which is tax deductible donation to the committee. Please sign up!

Student of the Month:
Jeffrey Hanlon is this month’s BBRC SOM (Thomas and Kelly are his parents).  Steve Wiley, Squalicum HS counselor, introduced Jeff as an outstanding scholar, with many AP classes to his credit, he is an eagle scout, competes in Future Business Leaders of America, competes in varsity track&field, swing dance club, even has his own business.  olunteers with Food Bank, Whatcom Rowing Association (designed and built the garden and walkway), volunteered at Interfaith Coalition Auction, lots of trail work through the Parks department.  Really like AP Physics and Economics. He announced that he will be attending UW next year!
Bucks in the Bay
  • Stan thanks the club for the wonderful birthday celebration last week;
  • John Templeton congratulated our SOM Jeff Hanlon and his parents Kelly and Tom!
  • Carlye Gillespie for missed meetings;
  • Eddie Hansen also congrats to the Hanlon family, and bucks for missed meeting last week to attend Mountain School (with his son and a few hundred other Bellingham 5th graders) at North Cascades Institute facility at Lake Diablo;
  • Debbie Kiene family reunion at Orlando, Easter, also 38th wedding reunion. 
  • Chuck Walter congrats to the Hanlon family, Jeff Hanlon’s older brother is at West Point Academy, also  the Walter family gathered in Carmel to celebrate mom’s 95th birthday;
  • Bob Becker glad to be back from snowbirding in California (a wet winter there), also let’s everybody attend the Ciao Thyme dinner June 1st!
  • Harte Bressler missed meeting during tax season;
  • Tim Krell 18 days of skiing, and some hockey news;
  • John Templeton Sue Sharp’s mom passed away FYI.
  • Bryant Engebretson finished up the skiing season at Big White (37 days total!)
