Program
Christine Palmerton introduced Patrick McEvoy, Tim's son and owner of Elizabeth Station (convenience store with a lot of beer) on Holly Street.  Patrick attended UW and majored in English literature.  Patrick, who says he has a natural affinity for marketing, talked about social media - what works and what doesn't.  Patrick first got interested in Facebook as a marketing tool to promote his store.  Patrick is a big fan of Seth Goden's books on marketing; and his concept of tribes.  Patricks's suggestions for using Facebook:
1) figure our who core audience is and get them united;
2) make the page interactive, a conversation - back and forth - with customers - not one-way;
3) if you don't have a good concept for using a Facebook page for your business, or are not excited by the concept, DON'T open a FB page!
Patrick showed several FB pages, both good and bad: Brambleberry, HomeDepot, Security First Mortgages, etc.

Respectfully submitted,
