  • Steve Brummel with Brewers update – Expected to net $31k to $35k, thanked everyone including committee members and businesses that contributed.
  • Dennis Archer – Thanked Steve Brummel for his hard work. Still need chair for Sargent at Arms.
  • Eddie Hansen – Crab feed on August 23rd.

 Bucks in the Bay

  • Dennis Archer - $100 for Brewers and anniversary.
  • Glenn Groenig – Giving tickets, grandkids at the house, 5 rules for men.
  • Scot Swanson – Went camping with son who got sick so missed Brewers.
  • Steve Spitzer – Vacation in California including Big Sur and Pebble Beach. Daughter’s 6th anniversary, Son went to France and got engaged.
  • Anna Williams – Thanked all the cookers and for a good Brewers.
  • Terry Brown – Recognized Steve Brummel and Todd Ramsay for their hard work at Brewers.
  • Mark Turner – Missed Brewers, was traveling and taught a class.
  • Tim Krell – Was in Redmond and daughter is in soccer.
  • John Sleeth – Had 1 of 3 surgeries for DBS last Wednesday. 2nd is Wednesday the 25th and 3rd is in 3 weeks.
  • Jim Johnson – Bike ride to South Dakota with Cousin. Comment from stranger on how skinny he was.

  • Owns Antique Mall, born/raised in Bellingham. 1966 graduate, Masters at WWU, elected 1992 to 42nd district in house, served 17 years, part of Bellingham Rotary Club.
  • Represents public interest based on due diligence, facts, expected results.
  • Interesting first 7 months.
  • One of biggest challenge is balancing budget. We’ve been deficit spending for 5 years.
  • Likes trying to manage city budget and being a role model.
  • Believes in public hearings.
  • $100k to eliminate red light cameras, not enough due diligence.
  • Hired projected manager for Lake Whatcom Watershed.
  • Progress on waterfront.
  • Establish relationship with Port and County Executive.
