Bellingham Bay Rotary Club:  Mission, Vision, and Strategy Statements

Mission Statement: To provide business, professional and community leaders with a stimulating, inclusive, and dynamic organization that serves critical needs of others, and produces lasting change in our community, in our world, and in ourselves.

Vision Statement: BBRC provides a diverse group of community leaders a stimulating nonpartisan and nonsectarian venue in which to gather in person to broaden their perspectives. Through fellowship we bring together bright and ambitious minds to learn about fellow members, our community, and the world while having fun and using our skills to contribute to their success. Our members are masters of their trades, joining Rotary to be informed citizens and community members. We leverage our collective abilities to increase knowledge, expand life experience, and to partake in meaningful projects while enjoying the collaborative process. We believe that education is the great equalizer and that every person is free to rise as far as they are able and willing, given the right resources. Each member is responsible to contribute financially and through service to the operation of the club, relative to their ability.

Strategy Statement:
We use the Rotary International network to meet and learn from other clubs.
BBRC committees are the workhorse that provide actionable suggestions to the board who then implement a course of action.
Our membership actively participates through attendance, collaboration, and financial means in the club’s endeavors to enrich the lives of those we encounter.
We use the BBRC 5-way test as our guide:
                1- It is the truth?
2 -Is it fair to all concerned?
3- Will it build goodwill and better friendship?
4-Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
5-Can you explain it to an 8-year-old and to your mother and would they both approve?
We believe that in-person meetings are invaluable and extend membership to those who are people of action, integrity, and willing to put service above self in our club.
